My Story

As I continue to write my story; today I can say I have accomplished much and have many more adventures to take. As far back as I can remember, I've had a passion for numbers and helping people. That is likely what has drawn me to a career in finance. Over nearly two decades I have been blessed to work with some amazing individuals. I have completed more than a quarter billion dollars in loans and have made a lot of friends along the way.

Although I have enjoyed a lot of recent success, things did not start out that way for me. I am from the west side of San Bernardino, CA. If you know anything about San Bernardino, then you already know. I was raised by a single mom who pushed me to be the best at everything I set out to do. Her strong will and relentless focus on my safety and education lead me to play football as a child. Later to go on to earn a scholarship to participate in football and track and field at Portland State University.

After graduation, I got into inside sales for an online university. This is where I cut my teeth and learned how to manage rejection. After a few years I made the best decision of my life to transition into finance. With no experience or connections in the industry, I was forced to learn through the school of hard knocks. I can still remember the first 17 transactions I attempted being declined, but over time and my focus on what I have coined as ABWeED, I quickly shot up to a top 10% performer. I've changed companies and cities a few times, but the story remains the same.

Now I spend my time leading others in the financial industry. I speak about what it takes to be successful in today's market. Many of the lessons I've learned can be applied across sales industries. When I am not mentoring on sales and finance, I can usually be found drinking bourbon. My passion for a good drink with others has allowed me to hear some great stories and share a few of my own. I'd love to sit down and have a glass with you sometime.
